Privacy and Security

Your privacy is important to us. The Docs to WP Pro extension is designed to work securely with your Google Docs and WordPress site, without storing or sharing your data outside your account.

No Content is Stored or Read

When you use Docs to WP Pro, your documents remain entirely in your Google account and WordPress site.

  • We do not store your Google Docs or WordPress content on external servers.

  • We do not read or analyze the contents of your documents.

  • We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose beyond publishing your content.

The extension only processes your chosen document and securely pushes it to WordPress.

No Personal Data Collected

Docs to WP Pro does not collect:

  • Your personal Google account information.

  • Any Google Docs you have not explicitly selected for publishing.

  • WordPress posts, pages, or data outside the content you push via the extension.

All actions are limited to your accounts and happen within Google and WordPress secure environments.

Secure by Design

  • Minimal permissions: Docs to WP Pro requests only the access needed to connect Google Docs with your WordPress site.

  • User-initiated actions: Content is only published when you choose to push a document. Nothing happens automatically in the background.

  • Secure APIs: All communication between Google Docs and WordPress occurs via secure, industry-standard APIs.

Permissions Explained

Here’s why Docs to WP Pro requests specific permissions:

  • Google Docs access: To read the selected document’s content and prepare it for publishing.

  • WordPress REST API access: To publish your content, upload images, and update existing posts.

  • Media Library access: To upload and insert images directly from your Google Doc into WordPress.

  • Application Passwords: To link securely with your WordPress account without sharing your actual login password.

Docs to WP Pro does not get unrestricted access to your accounts — it only works with the files and sites you explicitly connect.

You’re in Control

  • You decide when to publish and which document to push.

  • You can update, overwrite, or remove content in WordPress at any time.

  • You can disconnect Docs to WP Pro by removing the license or WordPress site connection.
